Public Transport based walk with Alan Beeby.

A 12 mile walk starting in littleborough and ending in Newhey. Exploring the some local reserviours, hills and a big old Roman road. The walk finishes in a nice Samuel Smith pub.

For anyone who is afraid of heights please be advised we will be using the tall bridge that crosses the M62.

Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.
Itinerary is below - click station links for map and further information.

10:00: Meet at Manchester Victoria for the train at 10:26. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Suggested ticket:

Daysaver TM £7.90 as we will be getting a tram back from Newhey.

10:26: Train departs for the walk start at Littleborough train Station.

11:00: Walk starts at Littleborough train Station.

Return from Newhey Tram Station. every 12 minutes (if your lucky)
