Public Transport based walk with Ken Banks.
A longer evening walk now the evenings are drawing out. Starting at Broadbottom station we drop down the river and past the Lymefield Mill. We then wind our way up through Charlesworth and onto Coombes Edge. We follow the edge round with hopefully good view accross to Manchester in the distance and keep an eye out for the local wildlife. We then drop down through the centre of the Coombes valley to Holehouse before folowing the country lanes back to Broadbottom and a drink in the harewood Arms before trains home.
Please bring a head torch if you've got one in case it gets dark before the end of the walk.
Please note if you are bringing a dog, it it still lambing time on the Coombes so lots of new borns and heavily pregnant ewes about, so dogs will need to be on a lead at all times while on the fell, thanks.
