Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with Jon Buckland.
A pleasant afternoon walk through Cheshire. Starting from Chelford the walk covers 8.5 miles with great views of Cheshire including Jodrell Bank. We will finish in Macclesfield and for those that want to, we will be going for a couple of drinks in Macclesfield town centre.

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

11:45: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 12:04. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

12:04: Train departs for the walk start at Chelford.
12:40: Walk starts at Chelford.

This walk was reccied at the end of January and some fields were exceptionally muddy and wet. Please ensure you have the correct kit - walking boots, gaiters/waterproof trousers.
Please eat your lunch on the train out from Piccadilly as there won't be a lunch stop.
This is a linear walk and Macclesfield and Chelford are on separate train lines. You would have to change at Stockport to return to your car by train or use the hourly bus service between Macclesfield and Chelford (27A), if you are driving.
