All in the name of Research

Public Transport based walk with Steve Rawlins & Kate Potter.

13.8 mi

A very mixed bag of a walk - farmland, woodland, country lanes, moorland, hills and ridges...oh and the odd eerie research facility.

The route is mainly on good paths but there are a few spots that may be a little bit muddy so gaitors might be useful if the ground is wet.

The walk does feature Chrome Hill which is a ridge but a pretty tame ridge, you can just walk around it if you don't fancy it though.

If you wish to drive, I would recommend parking on the sidestreets near the Tesco Express on the A515 (SK17 9HH) and then wait for the group on the main road outside the Tesco Express, we should be along around 10.15 - this will cut just over a mile and a half off the walk.
