Standing Stones and Palm Houses

Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with John Ireland.

A longer than usual urban walk into Liverpool, taking in Calderstones Park, the site of some standing stones, then via Sefton Park and it's Palm House, going down to Otterspool and then walking along the Mersey up to the Pier Head for a drink before getting the train home from Lime Street.

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

09:45: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 10:01. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Return to Liverpool Lime Street £12.40

10:01: Train departs for the walk start at Broad Green Station.

11:00: Walk starts at Broad Green Station.

Return from Liverpool Lime Street. 16:52, 17:15, 17:22, 17:52, 18:22, 18:52

No toilets at walk start, use those on train.

If travelling from Liverpool Lime Street to Broad Green, use the 10:47 from Lime Street, fare is £2.80 single.
