Public Transport based walk with Anthony Helm.
Please note change to start time, there is now a rail replacement bus service from Victoria to Darwen, due to engineering works. Walk leader will meet at walk start
From Darwen station, we make our way up through Bold Venture Park to the Jubilee Tower on Darwen Moor. From here, on a clear day, there's views of Blackpool Tower, Pendle Hill, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Peaks. We then head down to the Tockholes Plantations, for a picturesque woodland walk by the river Roddlesworth. We'll then head back towards Darwen through Sunnyhurst Wood and of course the customary pub stop.
