Boxing day on Heaton Park

Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with Andy Barclay.

It's a  bit of a Manchester Ramblers tradition to meet up on Boxing Day. If you're wondering how to get to the walk please follow this link: Boxing Day Public Transport - basically some buses and all the trams, but no trains, are running.

We'll be having an easy exploration of the many paths and trails in Heaton Park, hopefully taking in the excellent views of the hills and the city. Although not a long day out it would still be nice if you bring a sandwich, snack or flask of hot drink as we will take a short break at some point.
