The Day Bit

Public Transport based walk with Stu Edwards & Katherine Hamlett.

9.5 mi

595m

**Part 1 of a 2 part walk**

Please note the revised earlier start time for this walk.

Two walks for the price of one? Great pub grub and drinks built in at the end of an epic day / night combo? Yes, it's the return of the two-parters so grab your head torch and join us for a new for 2016 January special.

Our first outing of the day takes us on a steady climb out of the valley in order to make the most of the expansive views from the high ground surrounding Broadbottom. The hard work of the morning is rewarded with the opportunity to have a cheeky beverage of your choice during the lunch stop! After lunch we regain the vantage point as we head towards Coombes with an easy descent back to the pub. We have kept the route to good paths and occasional lanes following the recent wet weather however some parts remain boggy and gaiters are strongly recommended.
