After a long absence we return to one of my past stomping grounds - the West Pennine Moors and do the three hills you can see from the M61!

Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.
Itinerary is below - click station links for map and further information.

09:00: Meet at Manchester Victoria for the train at 09:20. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Suggested ticket:

Return to Blackrod £4.30

09:20: Train departs for the walk start at Lostock.

09:50: Walk starts at Lostock.

Return from Blackrod Station. 17:13, 18:13

Waypoints: Old Hall, Montserrat, Walker Fold Road, Hole Hill Farm, Two Lads, Rotary Way, Winter Hill, Belmont Road, Noon Hill Slack, Catter Nab, Pidgeon Tower, Rivington Pike, Brown Hill, Jepson's Bridge, Andert


No toilets at walk start. Pub at end. Gaiters recommended if wet.
