Walk Leader meeting at Walk Start
A flat walk along the beach from Squires Gate in Blackpool to Lytham for tea and cake at Lytham Hall tea room. Followed by a wander around leafy Lytham and a few drinks in a pub. There are also two excellent fish and chip restaurants in Lytham if a few people fancy that later on!
Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport
We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

08:45: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 09:03. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Off-Peak Day Return to Squires Gate £16.70. Train from Manchester is for Blackpool North. Change in Preston for (10:32 Blackpool South) train to Squires Gate
09:03: Train departs for the walk start at Squires Gate.
11:05: Walk starts at Squires Gate.
Return from Lytham. 15:38, 16:41, 17:38, 18:41 via Preston
Waypoints: Squires Gate, St Annes Pier, Pleasure Island, Fairhaven Lake, Witches(Watch) Wood, Lytham Hall and grounds, Green Drive, Lytham Windmill
If you wish to drive there is parking on some of the side roads opposite Squires Gate station (its about a 1hour drive from Manchester). You can then catch the Blackpool South train back from Lytham after the walk. There are some 20p toilets near the walk start, at St Annes Pier and at Fairhaven Lake.
