Public Transport based walk with Steve Rawlins.
This walk will be anywhere between 8 and 10 miles, we'll choose the exact route on the day depending on the weather or we'll just have a vote
Plan A - If the weather is kind is the classic edale to Kinder circular which I've done on tthis weekend for the past few years. This is 8 miles (555m) from Edale, up Grindsbrook Clough and onto Crowdon Tower and the Woolpacks before coming down Jacob's Ladder and down into the Nag's Head pub in Edale. From there we'll go to the Rambler's Inn and then probably back to the Nag's Head and then again to the Ramblers etc etc - It's Christmas!
Plan B - If the weather is a little pants is from Edale upto Hollins Cross and then directly down into Castleton where we'll have our first festive drink. We'll then head over to Hope for the next drink before a little climb to Lose Hill and then the quickest route back into Edale for the Nag's Head and Ramblers Inn (or if the weather is really really bad we can get the train back from Hope). This will be 9-10 miles (540m) depending on which route we take)
Gaitors/Waterproofs recommended as it is always a little boggy around Kinder.
Postcode should you wish to drive is S33 7ZA. Lots of parking at the village hall (pay and display).
Festive Hip flasks & flasks of Mulled Wine optional :)
