A linear walk over high moorland from Burnley to Todmorden, taking in a the Singing Ringing Tree, Thieveley Pike and Todmorden Moor, making use of the Copy Pit railway line between Todmorden and Burnley.

 

Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.
Itinerary is below - click station links for map and further information.

09:20: Meet at Manchester Victoria for the train at 09:40. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Suggested ticket:

Return to Burnley Manchester Road (via Todmorden) £9.90
 

09:40: Train departs for the walk start at Burnley Manchester Road Station.

10:35: Walk starts at Burnley Manchester Road Station.

Return from Todmorden Station. 16:56, 17:50, 17:56

Waypoints: New Copy Farm, Copy Clough Plantation, Singing Ringing Tree, Deerplay Moor, Thieveley Pike, Todmorden Moor, Flower Scar Road, Todmorden Edge

Extra:

Contrary to previous advertising we will not be passing a scenically placed toilet.

Post-walk drinks in the Polished Knob, Todmorden.
