A walk from Buxton across the moors to the Goyt Valley and then following the Fernilee reservoir and the midshire way into Whaley Bridge.
Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport
We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

09:30: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 09:47. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Off-peak day return to Buxton: £9.20. A Duo ticket for two adults is also available for £13.80. However, if you need to catch the tram or bus to get to Piccadilly, a £10 Wayfarer ticket would probably be better value depending on your travel costs.
09:47: Train departs for the walk start at Buxton Train Station.
11:00: Walk starts at Buxton Train Station.

Parts of this walk cross the moors above Buxton. These footpaths can be muddy. Gaiters are advised.
This is a linear walk. If travelling by car, the return service from Whaley Bridge to Buxton leaves at xx.31, or alternatively park in Whaley Bridge and catch the 10:32 to Buxton, £4.80 single.
