Public Transport based walk with Sarah Peppiatt.
A long and very scenic walk over the eastern part of the Peak District, with lots of climbing but generally good paths.
Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport
We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

07:40: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 07:49. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Either return to Bamford (£11.10) or a Wayfarer ticket £12.
07:49: Train departs for the walk start at Bamford Station.
08:45: Walk starts at Bamford Station.
Return from Hope Rail Station. X:39 aiming for 19:39 then 21:02
Waypoints: High Neb; Dale Reservoir; Dukes Road; Fairholmes; Crook Hill; Parkin Clough; Hope
Possible to bail out at Fairholmes (19 miles) and get bus back to Bamford, then walk through village to station (£2 ticket or covered by Wayfarer). Buses at 15:10 and 16:10, last bus 17:00 which takes you to the train station.
Drivers park at Hope and join train at 08:39
This is a long walk with a lot of ascent over exposed terrain for much of the day: you must be properly equipped with waterproofs etc and enough food/fluid for the whole day. You must be able to complete the whole walk at a reasonable pace.
