Public Transport based walk with John Ireland.
A rerun of one of my favourites, and rest assured it isn't a Hull to Halifax linear - instead it's nice walk out to the west of Halifax with lots of little hills, then beyond Lightcliffe and back via Shibden Park, with a missing trig point, a hollow way and half a viaduct just to add to the fun.

Also, the ascent is evenly spaced out through the day with one major ascent at the start to get out of Halifax and then lots of little ones as we undulate back.
Weather pemitting, refreshments at the White Beare in Norwood Green, a stop for Ice Cream at Shibden Park and then quality ales and refreshments at the Ring O'Bells in Halifax.
