Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with Andrew Forbes.

4.0 mi

The second part of the Mossley two part walk.  This starts with a steep climb away from the station and continues up to Hartshead Pike and it's lovely views over the valleys on either side.  After a quick snack, we head down to a small nature reserve then swing round to head back.  The route covers a variety of trails and paths types; some of which are clear and easy to walk on but some are overgrown and trousers with sturdy boots are recommended due to some uneven ground and several sections with nettles/brambles.  There are a couple of small sections involving road walking so care will be needed and a small section of golf course is crossed so care will be needed there too.
