The walk leader will meet you at Navigation Road metrolink stop.

The walk follows the Bridgewater canal,merging onto the Trans Pennine Trail.We then follow the Bollin Valley Way trail (3) to our pub stop at the Vine Inn.We then embark towards Dunham Massey Hall and Deer Park using the Bollin Valley Way Trail.We cut through Dunham Forrest Golf club heading towards Altrincham.For those who would like to join us for the Cavery there is a short stroll from Navigation Road metrolink stop to the Hare and Hounds Pub for a Carvery.£6.99 (medium plate).If you are interested in attending please e-mail me on xyzal@rocketmail.com by Friday 17th July.

Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.
Itinerary is below - click station links for map and further information.

00:00: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 13:20. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Suggested ticket:

£4.60 (off peak return ). Please meet at Navigation Road metrolink stop to start walk at 14:00.There are trams every 12 minutes(Altrincham line) from the city centre and the journey time is 25 minutes from Piccadily.The Walk leader meets at Navigation Road.

13:20: Train departs for the walk start at Navigation Road Rail and metrolink station.

Return from Navigation Road Rail and metrolink station. From Navigation Road Metrolink Station/Altrincham every 15 minutes (after 17.30) to the city.

Waypoints: Bridgewater Canal, Trans Pennine Trail, Vine Inn, Dunham Massey Hall and Deer Park, Dunham Forrest
