Public Transport based walk with Andrew Forbes.
Walk leader to meet at walk start - Gemma Wilson will be at Manchester Victoria to meet those going on the train
This is the first part of a two part figure of 8 route. It starts with an easy walk along the Tame Valley Way before tackling the first climb of the day. Soon we'll be wandering along country lanes, through woodland and valleys, crossing streams, passing reservoirs and making our way over open moorland. There are only two climbs of note on this route and we finish with an easy, level walk along the canal. If there is time we'll stop for a drink at one of the pubs near the station before saying goodbye to those leaving us, and hello to those joining us for part two.
