Public Transport based walk with Becky Lea.
This walk starts in the village of Langey. Please get the 9:27am train from Manchester Piccadilly to Macclesfield. The walk leader will meet you at Macclesfield station at 9:50. We will then get the 10:05 bus to Langley from Macclesfield bus station. The bus will go from stand 8 and a single ticket is £2.80. The walk finishes at Congleton train station, from which you can get the train back to Manchester.
Following on from Day 1 which we did earlier in the year, this is Day 2 of the Long Distance path, the Gritstone Trail. Starting at the village of Langley this is a walk along a number of ridges and through beautiful countryside to reach Congleton. There are two main hills to climb; Croker Hill and Bosley Cloud from which, if the weather is clear, there are fantastic views.
