Public Transport based walk with Sarah Peppiatt.
A cross country moorland walk linking Hadfield and Greenfield together. Expect some very wet rough paths and a fair bit of off path too & with any luck some stunning views (weather permitting).
Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport
We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

09:30: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 09:46. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Rail Ranger ticket £5.20
09:46: Train departs for the walk start at Hadfield Station.
10:30: Walk starts at Hadfield Station.
Return from Greenfield Station. X:36 aiming for 18:36
Waypoints: Lad's Leap; Rake's Moss; Black Hill; Broadstones Trig.
No bailouts so you will be expected to complete the whole walk. You will need water and food for the whole day.
Very exposed walk so make sure you have proper equipment for the day including waterproofs - whatever the forecast. LIkely to be awash so gaiters etc may come in handy. Or shorts if we're lucky!
