Scramble Season - Cribau, Snowdon

Direct Transport based scramble with Rick Connor.

8.0 mi

Booking is required for this event to keep the group size small and guarantee transport availability - see below.

An easier and less exposed alternative to the Crib Goch traverse, the Cribau approach to the Snowdon summit leaves the Miner's track at the head of Glaslyn (605m) and provides an enjoyable 200m scrambling ascent to the south side of the Snowdon Horseshoe. After a short respite, a steep ascent leads us up and around the south slopes of Snowdon to the Snowdon summit and cafe. A straightforward descent via the Pyg track leads back to our starting point.
