Public Transport based walk with Sarah Peppiatt.
A mid-length walk with a lot of ascent: ideal if you're wanting to push yourself a bit further than usual! Lots of moorland linked by a very pretty section through woodland. Expect 2 steep & long ascents, some off path, including one long downhill section, some very wet rough paths and a few streams to ford.

The moorland parts of the walk are very exposed so you will need to be properly equipped for the weather. You must have waterproofs and warm layers even if the forecast is good..
No bailout points or pub stops etc so you'll need fluid/food for the whole day.
Parts of the route are rather soggy so gaiters, waterproofs, stilts may be useful. The streams were easily fordable on the recce but if it's been wet in the week before spare socks may be an idea.
