Hot on the trail of the Grand Depart of the last year's Tour De France is the 3 day Tour De Yorkshire, we will be going to watch the 3rd stage from Wakefield to Leeds go past up on Marsden Moor - then following a circular route via some reservoirs and then back along down to Marsden
Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport
We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

10:40: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 11:11. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Change at Stalybridge for service to Marsden.
Manchester to Marsden Return (via Stalybridge) £9.80. Duo ticket available for £14.70 for two people travelling together.
Other ticket options are return via Huddersfield £12.40 - train departs at 10:11, arrives 11:27 at Marsden, changing at Huddersfield.
11:11: Train departs for the walk start at Marsden Station.
11:50: Walk starts at Marsden Station.
Return from Marsden Station. 17:28, 18:28, 19:28
Waypoints: Colne Valley Circular Walk, Kirklees Way, Cupwith Reservoir, A640 (where we will pause to watch the race), Deanhead Reservoir, Scammonden, Deanhead, M62, Scammonden Water, Redgate Lane, Coal Gate, Net
No toilets at walk start - use the ones on train if possible.
The trains are likely to be busy, so please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time to get a ticket.
The walk will start immediately when we arrive at Marsden - we need to be up on the A640 for before 2pm, when the race is scheduled to pass.
There will not be time to wait for any late arrivals at Marsden.
Drinks in Marsden afterwards and then also at the Stalybridge Buffet Bar on the way home.
