Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with Steve Rawlins.
A great alternative to that last minute Christmas Shopping!!...
From Edale we'll make our way to Grindsbrook Clough and enjoy the very mild scramble to the top and then make our way to Crowdon Tower and the fascinating rocks along the Wool Packs before joining the Pennine Way, heading down Jacob's Ladder and back towards Edale.
And being Christmas it would be rude not to sample a few beverages in the Nag's Head or Ramblers in (or both!) before getting the train back to Picadilly.
This walk is suitable for new walkers but please take note there is a mild scramble involved and it has been known to be a little boggy on the top so gailtors or waterproofs recommended.
There is a big car park at Edale Village Hall should you wish to drive, it's less than a minute away from the station.
