A morning urban walk through Liverpool city centre through some of the older, leafier areas away from the hustle and bustle of the main shopping areas, seeing the UNESCO World Heritage Site on the waterfront and ending up by the Pier Head - all part of the MAD Liverpool Day Out! (95)

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

09:40: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 09:55. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Return Manchester to Liverpool £12
09:55: Train departs for the walk start at Liverpool Lime Street.
11:00: Walk starts at Liverpool Lime Street.

We will be meeting in Liverpool Lime Street Station by the statue of Ken Dodd.
If travelling from Newton-le-Willows, get the 10:17 to Liverpool, arriving 10:44.
On arriving at the Pier Head we will take a Mersey Ferries 'Explorer' Cruise at 1pm (Cost £8.50 per ticket) before visiting the Albert Dock for the afternoon and then going to a pub and eating in Liverpool - if you wish to head back to Manchester directly after the walk Lime Street Station is about 20 minutes walk away.
