Part one of a two part walk.

A linear walk starting from Disley passing through Lyme Park visiting The Cage where, if the weather is decent you get an excellent all round views, we will continue pass the hall onto The Gritstone Trail heading out onto Park Moor and The Bowstonesgate before heading over towards Toddbrook Reservoir then into Whaley Bridge for a pub stop.

Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.
Itinerary is below - click station links for map and further information.

10:30: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 10:49. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Suggested ticket:

Return to Whaley Bridge (£7.70)

10:49: Train departs for the walk start at Disley Station.

11:20: Walk starts at Disley Station.

Return from Whaley Bridge Station. 15:39, 16:41, 17:39

Waypoints: The Cage, Lyme Park, Bowstonesgate, Whaley Moor, Toddbrook Reservior

Extra:

This is part one of a two part walk which is a circular from Whaley Bridge. If you intend to complete both walks please bring a torch for the second stage.
