Public Transport based walk with Anthony Helm.
A pleasant stroll through the picturesque Ribble Valley, walking alongside the Ribble itself, and also two of its tributaries, the Hodder and the Calder. We start with a short climb up to Ramsgreave Hall, where there are good views of the valley below. We then drop into the valley, crossing the Ribble by the quaint suspension footbridge at Dinckley. We then cross over the Hodder, and back over the Ribble at Great Mitton, where there will be time for a pub stop. We then have a stroll by the Calder on our way to the finish at Whalley.
