THIS IS A LINEAR WALK ON 2 DIFFERENT LINES
A walk out of Littleborough up a roman road to the Pennine Way before heading south over the M62 and eventually down into Greenfield.
Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport
We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.
Itinerary is below - click station links for map and further information.
10:00: Meet at Manchester Victoria for the train at 10:08. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Manchester Day Ranger, which allows for travel on both trains for £4.40
10:08: Train departs for the walk start at Littleborough train Station.
10:45: Walk starts at Littleborough train Station.
Return from Greenfield Station. xx:58 until 21:58
Waypoints: Blackstone Edge, White Hill, Little Moss, Dinner Stone, Diglea, River Tame and Railway pub
This walk is not car-friendly as it will take 2 trains to get back to Littleborough if you leave your car there!
Littleborough station only has 1 pump action toilet so please use the toilets on the train.
Bring a torch and check your batteris - one may be required along the lanes at the end!
