Public Transport based walk with Pete Dolan.
The second of our Ten Year / Ten Marathon set of walks - Marsden to Hope Dark Peak Challenge; 26 miles over the high, bleak moorland of Black Hill, Bleaklow Head an onto Lady Clough Moor.
Most of the walk is along good paths which includes sections of the Pennine Way, taking in a few hills, reservoirs and dams, moorland, bogs, streams and forrest. There is one steep section up Willd Boar Clough; this require a good level of fitness and occasional use of hands. It is worth the ascent as it offers stunning views back in to the valley!
