Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with Andy Buckley.
This walk starts from Adlington (Lancs) railway station and heads towards Rivington Reservoir where we then follow the West bank of the Lower Rivington Reservoir down to the folly called Liverpool Castle before heading into Rivington Country Park and towards the hall. As we get to the wall of the hall we head off into the terraced gardens of Rivington and the "Pigeon House" tower which overlooks the gardens before the final climb up to Rivington Pike, were on a clear day you can see The Lakes, Snowdonia and "The Big One" at Balckpool! From here we start our descent to Blackrod for the train home.
