Public Transport based walk with Andrew Forbes.
There are a couple of sections that involve pavements and roads (from the train station to Tegg's Nose and when passing through Bollington) including one short section out of Macclesfield with no pavements so care will need to be taken there. We'll stop for food and drink (and an appreciation of the view weather permitting) at Tegg's nose before continuing through open fields, valleys and ridges towards White Nancy, where we will stop again for food and drink before descending into Bollington. We will have a short section of canal path walking on the other side of Bollington before joining the Middleway Way for an easy, level last 4 miles to Middlewood Train Station and the train home. All of the ascent is in the first half of the walk; including some short steep sections and if there has been recent rainful these climbs can be slippy and tricky going. Gaiters would be advisable.
