Lleyn Peninsula Walk Day One: Abersoch to Hell's Mouth and Back

Direct Transport based walk with Andy Buckley.

11.3 mi

390m

Day one of a weekend of walks I will be leading. Come for one or both walks. You just need to sort out your own accommodation. B&B's and camp sites are available in the area. I will be travelling down for the Friday evening and spending two nights there.

This walk starts off from the Abersoch Main Beach car park (parking cost £5 for all day) where we follow the Wales Coast path south around the beautiful and picturesque coast with spectacular views throughout the walk until we reach Hell's Mouth, this is where the full force of the Atlantic hits the Welsh Coast line and is a popular spot with the surfing community. We then leave the Wales Coast path and head back towards Abersoch along quiet countryside lanes passing through small communities.

This walk has ascent and descent throughout the walk with a few steep sections but it is well worth it with the surrounding scenery.
