A Sunday Stroll: Chorlton Water Park & a Sunday Lunch

Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with Alan Beeby.

From Chorlton we will head to Longford Park where if we are lucky the petting zoo will be open for us to take a breif visit. After this we will take a little short cut to Chorlton Nature Reserve and along to Jackson's Boat pub where we will be having a nice Sunday Lunch. After food we will head along the Mersey to Chorlton Water Park to do a circuit. Following this we will head back along the Mersey and through Chorlton Nature Reserve finishing at the Horse and Jockey Pub for those who wish to have a few drinks before heading home.

Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

10:50: Meet at Manchester Victoria for the train at 11:00. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Suggested ticket:

Chorlton can be reached by Bus or Tram with tickets being around £4 return from the City Centre. A Tram does go from Manchester Victoria Station

11:00: Train departs for the walk start at Chorlton tram stop.

11:30: Walk starts at Chorlton tram stop.

Return from Chorlton tram stop. every 15 minutes
