Edale Circular: The 10th Anniversary

Public Transport based walk with Andy Buckley.

9.0 mi

600m

On the 23rd May 2004 a group of like minded people set out on the first official walk of a little a group we know as the MAD Walkers. Today (10 years and 1 day on) we follow in their footsteps to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the group.

From Edale station we head off up to Hollins Cross and Mam Tor before dropping down into Castleton through the stunning Winnats Pass with a stop in the picturesque village of Castleton for a refreshment stop. Then we head out of the village and up to Lose Hill followed by a ridge walk with exquisite (if you ignore the cement works!) views into both valleys before arriving back at Hollins Cross and our descent back into Edale hopefully in time for a refreshment stop before our train home.
