A pleasant countryside and river walk from the historic town of Clitheroe, partly along the River Ribble and ending up in Whalley. Not to many ascents. Suitable for everyone, including those new to walking.

There maybe pub(s).

[There maybe an option to exit early, if required at approx the 8 mile stage and head towards Langho Stn (rather than Whalley Stn)].

Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

09:45: Meet at Manchester Victoria for the train at 10:00. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Suggested ticket:

10:00: Train departs for the walk start at Clitheroe station.

11:15: Walk starts at Clitheroe station.
