Public Transport based walk with Niall MacLennan.
A circular walk up to Bleaklow Head taking the bridle way from Old Glossop before ascending to the Pennine Way. After a stop at Beaklow Head/Bleaklow Hill we will retrace part of the path we took up to descend via Dog Rock back to Old Glossop. Provided the weather is with us the views from the top and on the descent are stunning. Even on a good day the land around Bleaklow is boggy and wet underfoot. Boots are essential, gaiters are recommended. On the way back to the train station we pass about 4 different pubs so I'll leave it to the experts to make a recommendation for those that wish to get a refreshment after the walk.
