A nice little evening walk around Poynton, just as summer starts to turn towards Autumn. We go round Poynton Park and Lake and a footpath so new it's not even on the map!

Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.
Itinerary is below - click station links for map and further information.

18:30: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 18:48. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Evening Return to Poynton £2.85

18:48: Train departs for the walk start at Poynton Station.

19:10: Walk starts at Poynton Station.

Return from Poynton Station. 21:30, 22:59

Waypoints: A5149, A523, Poynton Park, Towers Road, Footpath 95, Poynton Lake, Bull's Head (Pub), Phillips Bridge, Lower Park Road, Poynton Station


The nights are drawing in, so torches may be necessary for the last bit to the station. Refreshments will be taken at the Bull's Head in Poynton before getting the train home.

An extra-curricular drink in the Crown, Stockport, afterwards too should you feel the need.
