From Hull, Hell and Halifax...

Public Transport based walk with John Ireland.

10.0 mi

Before you get started, this isn't a Hull to Halifax linear - instead it's nice walk out to the west of Halifax with lots of little hills, then beyond Lightcliffe and back via Shibden Park, with a missing trig point, a hollow way and half a viaduct just to add to the fun.

Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

Fiendish cheaper travel options are available for those who hold the various TFGM season tickets by splitting the fare at Littleborough and Walsden, or Rochdale and Todmorden.

Also, the ascent is evenly spaced out through the day with one major ascent at the start to get out of Halifax and then lots of little ones as we undulate back.

Note to self - bring secateurs!
