Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with Jennifer Egan.
****WALK LEADER WILL MEET AT WALK START****
A leisurely walk along the canal via marple locks towards Strines, stopping off at a Freehouse en route, which serves up to 5 real ales and has views of the Goyt valley, before heading to Marple Bridge via woodland and waterside terrains. There is the opportunity for further drinks at the end of the walk at the Norfolk Arms.

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

18:30: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 18:45. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Anybody driving can park free of charge at Brabyns Brow Car Park, Brabyns Brow, Marple Bridge, SK6 7DA. (5 minute walk from the train station.)
