We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

10:10: Meet at Manchester Victoria for the train at 10:25. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Return to Adlington (Lancashire) £5
10:25: Train departs for the walk start at Adlington Station.
11:00: Walk starts at Adlington Station.
Return from Blackrod Station. 17:12 and xx:12 thereafter
Waypoints: Huyton House, M61, Horrobin Lane, Rivington, Rivington Pike, Rivington Hall Barn, The Castle, Anderton Old Hall Farm, Bolton West Services, Woods Barn Farm, Blackrod Station
No toilets at walk start, use the ones on the train. Pub (Ridgway Arms, BL6 5JF) at end of walk by Blackrod Station.
Car parking also available at Blackrod should you wish to drive. If so you'll need to be there in time to join us on the 10:52 train to the walk start in Adlington, fare is £1.70. If you drive to Adlington, trains from Blackrod to there are at xx:52 past the hour.
