Public Transport based walk with Sarah Peppiatt.
A long walk from Slaithwaite over the moors and past several reservoirs to Glossop, with plenty of climbing and rough paths, including some off path sections.
Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport
We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

08:15: Meet at Manchester Victoria for the train at 08:27. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Rail Ranger ticket (£4.40) plus single from Greenfield to Slaithwaite (£7.30)
08:27: Train departs for the walk start at Slaithwaite Train Station.
09:05: Walk starts at Slaithwaite Train Station.
Return from Glossop Station. X:09 and X:39 until 19:39 then hourly. Aiming for 20:39
Waypoints: Slaithwaite; Royd Edge Clough; Holme; Winscar Reservoir; Longendale; Near Black Clough; Bleaklow Head; Cock Hill; Glossop
This is a hard walk, much of it over remote terrain so please be sure you're capable of doing the whole route at a reasonable pace, and come properly equipped (including plenty of food/drink).
