Public Transport based walk with Niall Maclennan and Alan Beeby.
A circular walk exploring the left side of Littleborough and its surrounding hills. Expect hills, bridal paths, open access land and sheep. If we are lucky with the weather we should be treated to a picturesque view of Watergrove reservoir and the village of Wardle. There will be a lunch stop at the aforementioned reservoir before we begin a moderate ascent to skirt around from Hades Hill to Brown Wardle Hill. A refreshing drink will be on offer at the Globe Inn, Wardle on the way past, so remember to bring your pennies. Walking boots and gaiters recommended and dependent on the weather sun cream and a hat. There are car parking facilities at Littleborough train station but no public conveniences so use the toilet at Victoria or on the train if required.
