Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with Andy Buckley.
A circular route from Mobberley taking in the sites of the surrounding area from crossing the railway (several times!!), to the landing lights of Manchester Airport and hopefully several pub stops along the way. The route goes along a mixture of field paths, tracks and lanes.
Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport
We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

10:00: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 10:17. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
£5.50 off-peak return to Mobberley, or if there are two of you £8.25 for a Duo ticket (1 adult full price,2nd half price)
10:17: Train departs for the walk start at Mobberley Train Station.
10:55: Walk starts at Mobberley Train Station.
Return from Mobberley Train Station. xx.53
Waypoints: Airport landings lights, Valewood Farm, Mobberley village, Gleavhouse Farm, Broadoak Farm
With the time of the year it is please come equipped for the cold weather, also gaitors are recommended as some of the tracks could be muddy (or a bit icy if it's cold enough) and also with the time of the year bring a torch just in case!
