Weaving the Witton Way

Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with Katherine Hamlett & Stu Edward.

5.5 mi

50m

Please note that due to unsuitable terrain on the higher ground following heavy rain, we have adapted the ascent and waypoints listed below to ensure we keep to good paths.

Feeling like a leisurely day? Join us for a stroll along the Witton Weavers Way... Starting at a respectable hour, we begin with an easy amble to appreciate the views over the West Pennine Moors and to take in some photography opportunities around Wayoh. Good paths lead us round to the picturesque Turton & Entwistle Reservoir where, as the light begins to fade, we head to one of our much-loved real ale pubs; to settle in front of the log fires with our favourite beverage!
