South Head and Cracken Edge

Public Transport based walk with Sarah Peppiatt.

15.0 mi

A nice challenging walk to burn off all that excess Christmas dinner and alcohol!  A figure of eight walk that takes in two of the high points around Chinley along with some of the Pennine Way. Weather permitting there should some fantastic views of Kinder and the Vale of Edale.

Extra Note:

This is a long  walk for the time of year on rough and, in places very wet, paths with a lot of climbing and will need to be done at a brisk pace to finish in the light. Please be sure you're capable of doing this before starting.

Gaiters probably useful: bring a torch in case we don't finish in the light.
