Car based walk suitable for new walkers, with Clare Parkinson,Sally Grimwood.
This walk has something for everyone! Beautiful waterfalls, stunning limestone scenery, peregrine falcon spotting, amazing disappearing streams, refreshment tea vans en route (hopefully!) and an easy, short (and optional) scramble up the waterfall at Gordale Scar. The scenery is stunning so budding photographers make sure you bring your cameras.
Meet & Travel arrangements - Car Sharing
For car share walks, we meet at a convenient Manchester location and drive to the walk start using as few cars as possible. This keeps fuel costs and emissions down. Passengers please remember to contribute towards fuel costs at the end of the day.

11:00: Walk starts at Malham National Park Centre.
If you are driving, please make every effort to attend the Ferguson House, 11 Blackfriars Road, Salford meet point as some people may depend on a lift to get to the walk start. For further information, email email@example.com, especially if you intend to drive there directly.
Waypoints: Malham National Park Centre, Janet's Foss, Goredale Scar, Malham Tarn, Malham cove, Pub!
The scramble up the waterfall is optional and weather dependant. If it is raining or the river is swollen we will take the alternative route and if necessary the group can split in two, rejoining at the top of Goredale Scar. It is necessary to cross the river to do the scramble and your feet may get wet so we suggest bringing a spare pair of shoes and socks.
