Public Transport based walk with Andy Buckley.
A Circular walk from Holmfirth taking in the hills, reservoirs and villages of the area along minor roads, dirt tracks and forest paths with ascents and decents throughout the walk. included in this walk is the re-used stone work from a farm mentioned in the doomsday book in a place you would never have guessed!...OH!! Then at the end of the walk is the little thing of a food and drink festival for us to attend.
Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport
We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

09:10: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 09:27. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Return train ticket to Huddersfield for £11.60
First Day Saver ticket for Huddersfield to Holmfirth £3.70
09:27: Train departs for the walk start at Holmfirth Bus Station.
10:45: Walk starts at Holmfirth Bus Station.
Return from Holmfirth Bus Station. Buses are every 15 mins from Holmfirth to Huddersfield
Waypoints: Cartworth Moor (1.66mi), Brownhill Res (3.89mi), Holme (4.61mi), Digley Res (5.46mi), Holmbridge (6.93mi), Holmfirth (8.6mi)
Please note that due to the food and drinks festival in Holmfirth on this day the area is likely to be busy and if you should decide to drive to Holmfirth roads and car parks may be busier than normal in the area.
