Car based walk with Al.
Passengers: please be prepared to offer a minimum of £3 to the driver for petrol.
Drivers: please check where to go beforehand, although the walk leader will be able to offer advice at the meet point.
A circular walk, with an initial steep ascent up to Totteridge, then significant passage through unpathed moortops towards Brown Berry Plan, where we then descend into the secret valley of Bleasdale Water, cross over Langden Brook at Langden Castle and head out along the Brook.
Meet & Travel arrangements - Car Sharing
For car share walks, we meet at a convenient Manchester location and drive to the walk start using as few cars as possible. This keeps fuel costs and emissions down. Passengers please remember to contribute towards fuel costs at the end of the day.

08:45: Meet at Ferguson House, 11 Blackfriars Road, Salford for lift share organising.
09:00: Cars will leave for the walk start (Lay-by at Sykes Nab).
10:45: Walk starts at Lay-by at Sykes Nab.
If you are driving, please make every effort to attend the Ferguson House, 11 Blackfriars Road, Salford meet point as some people may depend on a lift to get to the walk start. For further information, email firstname.lastname@example.org, especially if you intend to drive there directly.
Waypoints: Sykes Nab lay-by, Totridge, Brown Berry Plain, Bleasdale Water, Langden Castle, Langdel Brook, Sykes Nab lay-by.
Remember the clocks go back so you get an extra hour in bed (but it gets darker sooner!).
Please bring a torch.
We have to cross Langden Brook 2 miles from the end. There is no alternative route (especially with the earlier nights), so it is possible you may get your feet wet! We suggest you bring a change of shoes to leave in the cars.
