Public Transport based walk with Stu Edwards & Andy Buckley.
PART TWO OF A TWO PART WALK. WALK LEADERS MEETING AT WALK START.
Following on from the end of the Part 1 'Just a stones throw' walk, (and after a refreshing tipple for those on that...) we head East from Whaley Bridge as dusk approaches and the shadows emerge... Meandering our way through the quaint village streets, we soon find ourselves on eerie country paths and tree-lined lanes! With our torch light picking out the way ahead, we soon arrive at Eccles Pike. Here, your efforts will be rewarded... This stunning vantage point offers 360 degree panoramas over the High Peak towns and valleys, with prominent landmarks such as South Head and the Kinder Plateau silhouetted by the early evening sky. (Cloud permitting!) To finish, it's back to the pub... to warm by the open fire, and enjoy a beer! A food option will also be available.
