Creeping around Edale uɹnqʞɔɐlq

Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with Arthur Embleton.

Trains are not running for the originally planned walk.  Instead we will be walking from Edale to Hope, taking a different path to the other walk on the programme.

We will leave Edale station and take a short but steep climb up Mam Tor, and then we will stay on the ridge for Hollins Cross and Lose Hill before dropping down in to Hope.

It will be cold!  Please bring layers, and extra layers.  Gloves and hat will be essential.

If the conditions are too bad, then we will be taking a lower level walk.

We will be proceeding at a gentle pace and this is suitable for new walk members.  Bring snacks and water.

__________________________

For those who want a longer walk, I have come up with an extension that is 4.2 miles and 321m of ascent.  This will be a circular walk from Hope and will take us up Win Hill.  This will very much depend on weather conditions.
